Underground

Horizontal Directional Drilling

Horizontal directional drilling lets RLM place conduit beneath roadways, driveways, waterways and finished landscaping with minimal surface disruption.

Directional drilling is the core of RLM's underground practice. Our operators run bores through congested urban corridors and long rural segments alike, tracking depth and alignment the entire way to protect existing utilities.

Trenchless placement means fewer road closures, faster restoration and far less impact on the property owners along the route — which is often the difference between a permit approved and a permit delayed.

What's included

  • Road, driveway and waterway crossings
  • Utility locating and potholing coordination
  • Bore tracking and as-built recording
